Lumen ("we", "our", or "the app") is a daily wisdom quotes application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Lumen is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data:

• Name (optional): If you provide your name during onboarding, it is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers.
• Preferences: Your language preference, favorite quotes, and selected topics are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms.
• Subscription data: If you subscribe to Lumen Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.

Data Storage

All user data (favorites, preferences, settings) is stored locally on your device. We use Apple's App Group storage to share data between the app and its widget. No personal data is transmitted to external servers.

Analytics and Tracking

Lumen does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks. We do not track your behavior, location, or usage patterns.

Third-Party Services

We use the following service:

• Supabase: Used solely to deliver quote content updates to the app. No personal user data is sent to Supabase. Only public quote and figure data is retrieved.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, they are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to or processed by external servers.

Children's Privacy

Lumen does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app contains only inspirational quotes from historical figures and is suitable for all ages.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. Period.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. You can delete all app data by uninstalling Lumen from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
